Kennedyflat
Holiday apartments with sea view: Kennedyflat
In the southern part of Egmond aan Zee, you'll find the Kennedyflat on Kennedyboulevard.
We rent out several holiday apartments in this building, all with sea views. This apartment building has both an elevator and a staircase, and unfortunately, there are no power connections in the storage rooms.
The Kennedyflat is located on the corner of Kennedyboulevard and Zeeweg.
You are welcome to stay for a minimum of three nights, and we offer various seasonal rates. During the summer season, depending on your chosen accommodation, you can only book full weeks with arrival on Friday, Saturday, and Monday.
We recommend that you always participate in the Cancellation Fund when booking.

Sustainable Heating
In 2021, the central heating system (Central Heating) in the Kennedyflat apartment building was replaced, and all apartments are now connected. Below is an explanation of this sustainable heating system and its use.
This only concerns the central heating system. Tap water is heated by the boiler in the apartment and is hot without the need for cold water!
Explanation of the Central Heating System
Heating is provided by heat pumps. These heat the water that feeds the radiators, just like traditional central heating, but there are important differences. These are:
The new radiators have a better heat output.
As a result, the water that feeds the radiators requires less heating (low-temperature heating).
The heat pumps are powered by electricity generated by solar collectors on the roof of the apartment building.
As a result, this heating system does not emit CO2, thus contributing to the fight against global warming.
Explanation of central heating use
The system operates much the same as you're used to. By controlling the radiator valves, you can adjust the amount of central heating water flowing through the radiators. Thanks to the significantly improved insulation in the apartment, the temperature in the apartment will drop much more slowly. This is also necessary because the lower maximum temperature of the water flowing through the radiators also means the room heats up more slowly. In practical terms, you can expect a room temperature of approximately 20 degrees Celsius on setting 3. If you're going away, we recommend turning the valves down, and when you leave, the radiators can be set to setting 2.
The system was completed in November 2021. This means we don't yet have experience with its operation in freezing conditions. The system is, of course, designed to adequately heat the apartment even at these temperatures.
